    Joe Huttig was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend who passed away on November 7, 2023, at the age of 34. He was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of those around him in countless ways. He was the general manager of Adirondack Chevrolet Buick in Elizabethtown, New York, where he worked for the family company with exceptional leadership and a tireless work ethic.

    He was also a sports enthusiast, a golf champion, and a devoted cat lover. He was married to Amanda Vitullo Huttig, whom he met during a hiking expedition to the iconic Hollywood sign in 2010.

    What happened to Joe Huttig?

    The cause of Joe Huttig’s death has not been publicly disclosed, but his obituary stated that he passed away on November 7, 2023. His memorial service was held on November 18, 2023, at the Mountain View Campus – Boquet Valley Central School District, in Elizabethtown. His family and friends paid tribute to his remarkable life and shared their memories of him. 

    He is survived by his wife, Amanda; his parents, George and Julie; his siblings, Charlie, Sam, and Tessa; his niece and nephew, Zoey and Logan; his in-laws, Robert and Alison; his grandparents, Deane and Ruth; and his godparents, Bill and Donna. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ludwig and Irma3.

    Joe Huttig was a special person who lived a life filled with joy and passion. He had a kind heart, an infectious laugh, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones. He excelled in his career, his education, and his hobbies. He had a genuine love for sports, especially golf, basketball, and soccer. He was a fan of the Knicks, the Giants, and the talents of Tiger Woods and Kobe Bryant.

    He was a valued member of the Ithaca College golf team and a six-time conference champion in golf. He was also a four-year starter in varsity soccer and a two-time division champion in varsity basketball, amassing 1059 career points. He held a bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College and a master’s degree from Syracuse University, where he pursued his passion for cutting-edge media management.

    He was a proud owner of two cats, Polly and Bogey, who brought him comfort and warmth. He was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, who always supported and guided his family and friends. He was a remarkable individual who made a positive impact on everyone he met.
